Drama! )

Or it was something like that in my head, anyways. So yeah.

The massive sunburn is healing up. No magic soap, but I the vinegar/aloe/lotion rotation works really well. The itching though... arg. Still, it was worth it.

I need to restyle the wig in a massive way. I have to wait since I need supplies. And I just spent money on an IW dress. But it's a bambi dress. I'm sorry, I can't resist fawn prints. It's a weakness.

I've been doing a lot of writing lately too - stuff for a friend I've recently gotten back in touch with. I'm having so much fun with it. It's been a while since I wrote and really connected with a character. I kinda missed that.

Hunger Games mall tour event is tomorrow. I am so massively stoked. It's not even funny.

I will miss him so much. He was the sweetest, most beautiful, loving and unique puppy that has ever lived in a cat's body. I'm so so sorry that I could spend so little time with him in the past couple years, but he was so happy. And so very loved.

Went to Hulu to watch something while I ate. Found a new drama and started watching. Fifteen minutes in I'm wondering about the really odd choice to start in what obviously is the middle of a story and am not able to make sense of anything.

Tip: Hulu puts up episodes backwards. Look at the number before hitting play.

To get really excited about next year's movies, apparently.

The Hobbit!!!!!!!!! Do I even need to say anything? LOOKATTHETRAILER!LOOKATIT! The song! OMG the song! SQUEEEEEEEEE!! /spazzflail

The Hunger Games! Just found out that The Civil Wars have a song on the soundtrack (well, with Tailor Swift, but who cares) and the trailor looks like it's done right. Though the nail polish marketing thing... but I'm still excited.

Batman! BECAUSE IS BATMAN.

The Avengers! Again. Do I even need to say anything?

Secret World of Arriety! This. Will. Be. Adorable.

Brave! AAAAAAH! I want to hug her hair!

Lorax! Again. Adorkable.

These are the big ones. There are others I want to see. Some that I want to see because they make Matt squee. But... I really can't wait to go see movies, guys!

While Dad was visiting for Thanksgiving, we did a couple of Christmas themed shoots with the pullips. I had so much fun setting this up, and now that the holidays are almost here it's time to share them at last. So I tweaked colors, cropped, resized and picked my favorites. I really hope that you enjoy them.

I made these with the intention of picking one to use as an email holiday card, but I think that they are so much more fun when seen as a group. So this is me saying to all of you that I wish all of you the very best of holidays this season!

I spent so long trying to decide what to wear with it. I had the black blouse, or I could add a red bolero... but in the end I liked the cream cutsew. Partially for the short sleeves, but also because there's a lot of cream in the skirt that just looks awesome. Then I added the blue belt because it needed a bit of something. And the little hair clip! I wanted to have one on each side, but my hair was not being nice today. But I got so many compliments at the shop! I <3 my new skirt.

Today was a really good day for mail, in that I got 3 packages before I was expecting them! In the order of opening:

My package from http://loli-sew-round.livejournal.com/ for the craft exchange came in. She made me a gorgeous Alice card print skirt with matching reversible bows! The skirt is just amazing and I love the print and the colors. And the bows! She's asked if I liked the big headband bows, but since my hair is so short I can't wear them. So instead she made two mini bows that can be flipped depending on how I want to coordinate the skirt. Not only adorable, but super clever. There's a big bow as well, so that I can pin it onto a bag. We definitely have a shared love of pin-able bows. She's an amazing seamstress, you guys. The whole craft exchange was so much fun and I was really lucky to get such a great partner.

The other two boxes Matt actually opened before knowing what they were: my dolls! I got Sebastian out first. He's a very handsome guy, all dressed up and smart with his fancy glasses. His hair is really heavily gelled. Not sure if I'm going to wash it, though. It actually looks really nice and won't mess up. He did have an issue with one of his feet, but since he won't be changing clothes like the girls do, It's really a non-issue anyways. I will probably give him Bran's old eye chips when the new ones arrive. I like the red, but it's a bit too bright for the look I want. The black will work much better.

Bran really impressed me. Perfect for customizing, with not too much work required. I've already fixed his pants, making them the ones from Bone Crossed. And I gave him a haircut. It was needed. The next bits can't be done until I get the eye chip replacements because I only want to take his wig off once. Once those are in, I'll take the old ones out (put them in Seb and pack away Seb's originals) and see if I can lighten his face up a bit. Then all done! Or at least with the doll. Eventually he has to have a music instrument and a chair rigged to tilt on two legs. And a whovian "Bad Wolf" shirt. I made the last part up, but it will still happen. Also, He will have gray fluffy ears and a tail. Because it's a thing.

Also, Skyrim. My goal is to buy all the horses, get levels in smithing, and then wander around looking at pretty stuff until I stumble on plot points. It seems like a pretty accurate summary of me at any rate. Oh! Butterfly! Oh! Bunny! Look! My pony flies! Let's fly again, pony!

The never ending, horrible awful project is done. I'm really proud that I got it done by the HAD TO BE DONE date, without letting Matt step in to help so that he got to relax over the weekend. Which should happen more, in my opinion. So I've got the rest of the day for myself. Really, only around 2 hours. But hey, is nice anyhow.

So what to do?

Well, I saw amazing pumpkin cookies on Picky Palate. I want to make them. So I will! Only, I'll skip all the candies and chocolates. Matt doesn't like pumpkin and chocolate together and other than a reasonable number of chips and chocolate coffee beans, oddly I'm not a fan of overly loaded cookies. So I may pick up some yogurt chips as a substitute. I've not made them before so I'm not sure what skipping all the extra sweets will do to the consistency. So it's a pretty good switch. But Matt had planned to go buy food tonight, so waiting to go with is a better plan than getting the cookie supplies now. So what to do?

Update the blog, munch on my chocolate and mess around on the Patricia Briggs forum that I joined last week. I'm still working my way through the speculation boards. Even if most of them start a few books back, there's interesting info. And a few things blow my mind. Especially the one I read during lunch about guilty pleasures. Most of which is fan giggles, of course, but it starts with an interesting answer to an interview question. Let's just say Balloons by DBSK is now the theme for Bran in my head.

Speaking of Bran, I ordered my two boy dolls today, as well as the eye chips. This means I have next to no money till next month, and that will be for present shopping. But... I'm really happy with getting them. I even asked for opinions on the eye chips on the forum. So excited to finish the Bran doll now.
